A Rockey Enterprise

In the matter of A Rockey

Nothing starts in a straight line.

Thoughts. Tangents. Things taking shape.

§ 1

Four ways in.

A map, not a manifesto. Pick any one and see where it leads.

1.1   Curiosity

Pull on the loose thread.

A good question is a door left open. Follow the odd detail. Turn the thing over. There might be something on the other side.

1.2   Independence

Find your own angle.

A well-worn path can be useful. So can stepping off it. Take a different position and watch the same problem become a different shape.

1.3   Experimentation

Try it before it makes sense.

Put two unlikely things next to each other. Keep what surprises you. An experiment doesn’t need to be perfect to tell you something.

1.4   Making it happen

Give the idea some gravity.

A thought changes when it meets the world. Make a rough version. Move one piece. Let the next decision come from something you can actually touch.

§ 2

Those two letters weren’t easy.

I earned my Juris Doctor. Getting there was hard. Law belongs in this picture, too.

§ 3

Less talking.
More making.

Ideas need somewhere to land. There’s more here than fits on a page, so this one leaves a little room for whatever comes next.
